Round 1 of
The Catch Division contest between "The Lancashire Terrier"
April Davids [ENG] and "The Female Fight Machine"
Jenny Sjodin [SWE] both fighting out of The Northern Shooters Gym.
Both competitors use the first round as a "feeling out process" similar to boxing or mixed martial arts. April and Jenny know each other extremely well as both train at The Northern Shooters Gym, they both know in this environment a contest can end very quickly and so are in no hurry to make a mistake. Instead the two at first take a cautious approach, perhaps to try and allow the other into a false sense of security before capitalising. This contest really was a human game of chess and both became more confident and aggressive as the rounds wore on.
