PRESS RELEASE

IPW:UK Has A “Flashback” Of Quadruple Hard Proportions On February 24th At The Orpington Halls!!

» IPW:UK like to stack each and every wrestling event with must see matches, and February 2008 is absolutely no exception! With no fewer than three first round British National Championship matches, the first second round match in the same tournament, the IPW:UK debut of Eddie Kingston AND the return to the ring of the quadruple hard Flash Barker, IPW:UK would like to think that is mission achieved!

Tickets for this one are already in short supply for ringside seating as the anticipation for Flash Barker vs. Andy Boy Simmonz builds!

Plus, a new Orpington tradition, get there early at 3.15pm on the day for a special hour and a half afternoon special with 3 matches and much more! Tickets just £5, and only available on the door.

”The Man That Gravity Forgot” Returns To Orpington For The Final Time!

» With IPW:UK moving to pastures new after our final event in March, ‘The Man That Gravity Forgot’ had to make a return to the Halls for one last hurrah, and on February 24th he shall.

Pac, who has been jet setting around the world since his last Orpington Halls appearance in February 2007, has made only one IPW:UK appearance since that day – at the IPW:UK debut in Hull, where he faced and defeated James Tighe in singles action. He did however compete in the British National Championship guest-match at 3CW Remembrance Day, in a losing bout against the Last Ninja.

Now, with time between tours of Japan, Pac is back on British soil for just a short number of days – with one of his appearances being for IPW:UK.

Afternoon Action For All On February 24th 2008!

» After a fantastic turnout at the last Orpington afternooner, IPW:UK are happy to announce the final ever afternoon action spectacular at the Orpington Halls, set for a 3:30 kick off on February 24th, just hours before the evening card begins.

Last time out we saw the camp charisma of JULES LAMBRINI as he found his long lost cousin, JP “Marilyn” Monroe. The twinkle-toed twosome could not however, overcome the pairing of “The Star Attraction” Mark Haskins and “The Physical Specimen” Joey Redman, jointly known as The Thrillers.

This time around Lambrini will find himself with the opportunity to pick a brand new tag team partner (who, once again, will be a mystery until the night) as IPW:UK sign him once again for tag team action – this time against the Leaders of the New School!

The Leaders (two from Paul Robinson, Marty Scurll and Nikko Brixton) had a chance to crown themselves IPW:UK Tag Team Champions at the last Orpington event on January 27th, but fell at the last hurdle after backfiring interference from Brixton. With their win/loss record poor however, The Leaders will be looking to gain a solid win against a newly formed tag team on the last ever Orpington afternooner.

» After the above noted strong showing last time out on the Orpington afternooner, The Thrillers will once again return to action on February 24th, as they look to solidify their place as Kent regulars in time for the move to Bromley on May the 4th.

» And of course, our main event for the afternoon is the Orpington return to action of former IPW:UK Champion Aviv Maayan. Maayan, whose absence was duly noticed last time out as The Hated Heroes appear to be crumbling from within, will step in the ring and go toe-to-toe with a rising star in IPW:UK by the name of Zack Sabre Jr.

Sabre Jr, the current NWA-UK Jr. Heavyweight champion, a title he has held for well clear of a year, only made his Orpington debut on last month’s afternoon card, defeating both Wade Fitzgerald and ‘The Specialist’ Mark Sloan, who both had hugely impressive years in 2007. That victory alone was considered somewhat of an upset, but a victory against Maayan would definitely be his biggest win in IPW:UK to date.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And therefore the current card for “Flashback” on Sunday February 24th 2008 is:
