Post Punk/Dark Wave band from Rome (Italy), Avant-Garde was created in the early 90's by Alessio Schiavi in order to re elaborate the classic dark wave sound in its original feeling with a modern approach. One EP and two full lengh albums, including the acclaimed "Iron in Flesh" in 2008, established the band as an essential part of the Italian scene, and gave Avant Garde the opportunity to play live all over European stages and festivals. Now, Avant Garde has joined manic Depression to release "Antitesi" ; a brand new album with a new sound, enriched with the introduction of synth and keyboards, as well as with the involvement for this album of the drummer Gianmarco Bellumori and dream-pop /cold Wave Artist Mushy.
