- Preview: Westside Xtreme Wrestling presents "Live in Mannheim" -
By David Schmida ( www.thewrestlingpress.com )

Westside Xtreme Wrestling (wXw) enter the city of Mannheim, Germany for the second time in their history on September 18th and bring a top European squad with them.

The team of Axeman and Marty Scurll will clash with The Sumerian Death Squad consisting of Tommy End and Anthony Zeus in what is advertised as the main event of the show. End and Zeus won their last two matches and appear to be a really well oiled machine going into this contest. Their opponents on the other hand recently gained a lot of momentum in singles competition and surely want to take that into this confrontation.

Match four of the “Freddy Stahl Trial Series” will lead Stahl into his biggest challenge so far against wXw champion Big Van Walter. Stahl has been impressive so far although he was only able to pull off one win in the series. Walter on the other hand seems stronger than ever after having defended the title twice in August and certainly doesn’t want to mess up his record against the rookie.

“The Bad Boy of British Wrestling” Jon Ryan takes on the young prospect Kim Ray. Ray recently returned from Japan where he trained at Big Japan Wrestling’s Dojo but hasn’t been able to pull off a victory since. Now he faces the British veteran and has got nothing to lose. And that may actually be an advantage.

At wXw “Surprise” last month, Keel Inkasso consisting of leader Sasa Keel, Chris Rush and Aaron Insane beat the team of Earl, 2-Face and Bernd Föhr in a very questionable way. Now the participants meet again. While Keel clashes with Earl in singles competition, the team of Rush and Insane will exchange holds with 2-Face and Föhr. Earl, 2Face and Föhr are certainly out for revenge but their opponents won’t hesitate to use dirty tactics again.

“The Mind” consisting of Karsten Beck and Adam Polak will put their World Tag Team Championship on the line against Jay Skillet and Jason Hendrix known as “The Wanderers”. It’s no coincidence that “The Mind” chose the Westside Dojo students as their opponents since together they only have six matches under their belts. But can the rookies actually surprise the champions?

“Tremendous” Emil Sitoci versus Jonathan Gresham rounds up a promising card.
