UEWA Press Release:

Rampage Brown loses title to Mikey Whiplash - Welsh Heavyweight Champion becomes double champion!

Rampage Browns title run as the European Heavyweight Champion ended after only 161 days in a very unfortunate night for the soon-to-be WWE Superstar. After beating Austrian veteran Michael Kovac in September, Brown was send into a historical championship night on October 2nd in Hanley, England, as Brown went into the show being the European Heavyweight Champion and the British Heavyweight Champion… and leaving the show without any belts. The show started out with a title vs. title match between European Heavyweight Champion Rampage Brown and World Mid-Heavyweight Champion Mikey Whiplash from Stoke-On-Trent, England. After the referee was knocked out, Whiplash surprised Rampage and pinned him to become double champion. As it was the big Champion’s Night, both the British and European Heavyweight titles had to be defended again. While Brown was knocked out by a superkick from “Xtreme” Dean Allmark and thus lost the British title to him, it was Welsh Heavyweight Champion James Mason from London who took revenge for Rampage’s title loss and forced Whiplash to submit to become the new Champion and ending Whiplash's one hour title reign much to the delight of the enthusiastic crowd at the packed Victoria Halls in Hanley.

After the title loss, Rampage Brown as very upset about losing the title in this very controversial way and apologized to the fans as he previously vowed to leave Europe as the undefeated champion, but being a fair sportsman he added he was happy Mason could get revenge on Whiplash for himself, congratulated the technical wizard from London on his title win and promised Mason will be a worthy champion and continue the path Rampage started on. Whiplash himself was furious about losing the title as unexpected as winning it and demanded a re-match against James Mason in the not do distant future.

With James Mason being the new champion, there have been slight changes. Originally, Rampage Brown was supposed to defend the title in his third defense on October 27th in Carmarthen, Wales against the Welsh Giant Kade Callous. According to the UEWA rules, James Mason will now take over the booking so Wales will be the first title defense for the man from London, seeing him wrestle the 6’5, 280 lbs. giant from Cardiff.

Everyone on behalf of the UEWA thanks Rampage Brown for his title run and wishes him all the best for his future in America. We also take the opportunity to congratulate James Mason on his success. More information on upcoming title defenses will be announced shortly.
