Dragon Gate UK star Mark Haskins to debut for Dragon Gate in Japan this February.
One of the hottest prospects in European Wrestling will head to Japan in just a few weeks following fellow country man PAC to the Orient. After a show stealing performance at Open the German gate against the Young Bucks, all eyes were on his singles encounter with DG's Kagetora at Dragon Gate UK Invasion. With some of the top talents in Dragon Gate watching Haskins showed exactly why he is nicknamed the "Star Attraction" and downed the Warriors 5 member in an excellent contest
Shortly after this Haskins was signed to compete on this seven week tour and in his first contest in Dragon Gate wll face Dragon Kid and Anthony W Mori in tag team action. While some people have said it is no surprise that he has been offered such a great opportunity, some had even mentioned he would be a perfect fit back during the initial DGUK show announcement, it wasn't something he ever even considered.
Leaving his full time job back in August last year, Haskins took a huge gamble, he understood what his coaches had been preaching for years, to become a professional you need to train like one. It was definitely a huge gamble with Wrestling on somewhat of a downturn, Haskins left a well paid job to rely solely on Sponsorship and Events to live off. His dedication would become even more apparent AFTER the Dragon Gate tour when he set out to transform his look and conditioning and his twice daily visits to the gym have certainly not gone unnoticed. Nearly 3 hours of cardio work a day is what he considers necessary to keep up with the incredible athletes in Dragon Gate and has been working tirelessly facing off on taking on every style of opponent possible in preparation for the huge opportunity that awaits.
Working regularly for All Star Promotions, IPW:UK, Premier Promotions and WXW in Germany, Haskins is taking on all comers and soaking up as much experience as possible in the lead up to his departure. Including facing off against one of the top 3 teams in Europe right now, Whiplash and Dynamite in a steel cage this past weekend at Croydon, and with a rumoured rematch this Saturday in Hanley, Haskins is not taking it easy on his road to February 7th.
