Following yesterdays blockbuster announcement that DARREN BURRIDGE was the first man to sign up to the 101 Roster, news regarding the September 19th debut event continues to flow thick and fast.
Firstly, PW101 is able to announce today to creation of the Pro Wrestling 101 Championship. 101 Officials have stated that this title, for which an inaugural holder will be crowned in the new year, will be the main Championship of the promotion. The Man who holds this belt will be the main event, and with that comes the lions share of the purse, and the bragging rights to call yourself the best amongst your peers on the 101 Roster.
A Series of Qualification bouts will be held on PW101’s initial shows, with the winners of these bouts advancing to a one night tournament in the new year.
This news is poignant today since prowrestling101.co.uk is announcing three further wrestlers signed to the 101 Roster, and scheduled to compete on September 19th, and you best believe all three men will have the PW101 Championship set as a firm goal coming into the company.
Firstly we have a very established name in British Wrestling, this man, known as “ The Guvnor “ is one of the hardest men competing in the UK, he can brawl, he can wrestle, and he can kick your head in, he has held championship belts up and down the country, a former Open Weight Champion and a current Heavyweight Champion in other promotions, this man is MARTIN STONE.
Stone, who is one of the most respected and hard working wrestlers in the UK today, has made it known that he is coming to PW101 with nothing other then being the “top dog “ an acceptable position to him.
Next up we can announce an athlete whom 101 Officials believe to be one of the freshest and most excelling competitors in the UK today. Having broken out in the last two years with stellar and compelling performances, and having won both singles and tag team titles, this man has built up an incredible grass roots level of popularity through his undoubted hard work and talent. Most well known right now for his compelling championship tag team with Kris Travis, in 101 this man will be aiming for the top in singles competition, and hoping to capitalise on his ever growing fan favourite popularity, this man is MARTIN KIRBY
Finally for today, rounding out the three announced competitors is another man who is young, ultra talented and aiming for the top, and who’s talent in the ring is only matched by his hunger for success. One of the best talents from the North West of England, this man has been a member of Pain Inc and also Damned Nation, and you can bet he is as hungry as any wrestler in PW101 to “ take the ball and run with it “, so to speak. He is charismatic, he is cocky and brash, and he is super entertaining and incredibly talented , this man is JOEY HAYES.
