Last night in Portsmouth IPW:UK presented a TRULY "Thrilling Encounter"!
Here are the results of the show:

1. British National Championship: Dan Head pinned Joey Redman with a rollup to advance to R2.

2. James Tighe pinned Dave Sharp after a Tighetanic

3. British National Championship: "Star Atttraction" Mark Haskins pinned Harry Mills after throwing powder in his eyes.

4. British National Championship: Eamon O'Neill pinned "The Fitness" Ricky Hype to advance to R2.

5. "Irresistible" Iestyn Rees pinned Ian Logan after a spear. The match was watched from ringside by Haskins and Redman, who were apparently scouting Rees.

6. BritRage (Wade Fitzgerald & "The Specialist" Mark Sloan) beat The Hated Heroes (Andy Boy Simmonz & LT Summers) after tensions in the Hated Heroes. Summers walked out on Simmonz - allowing BritRage to double team and pin Simmonz. Wade got the pin after a multi-hit combo.

Here is the IPW Press Release about the show:
# All Of The Fall-Out From Last Night’s Show!

» Last night in Portsmouth IPW:UK presented a truly Thrilling Encounter, as all 3 members of “The Thrillers” (‘The Fitness’ Ricky Hype, ‘The Physical Specimen’ Joey Redman & ‘The Star Attraction’ Mark Haskins) had their first round match-ups in the British National Championship – but it was not a happy evening for the trio, as both Redman and Hype crashed out at the hands of Dan Head and Eamon O’Neill respectively.

Mark Haskins however advanced into the next round over substitute entrant Harry Mills. Mills, replacing the unavailable Jake McClusky, was invited into the tournament by IPW:UK management due to the nature of his current rivalry with ‘The Star Attraction’. As a result, IPW:UK fans were treated to a fast paced, hard hitting contest, befitting of the tournament so far – until the ending. As a result of this interference, the first so far in the British National Championship, IPW:UK are considering ensuring that there is a second referee present at ringside at all times, even considering going to the lengths of banning managers and stable-mates from being at ringside!

» Ricky Hype is also in hot water with IPW:UK management for attempting to bring the British National Championship into disrepute. Before his match against O’Neill, Hype offered the Irish grappler £100 to forfeit his match, something that O’Neill laughed off immediately. This did not go un-punished by IPW:UK management, who suspended Hype’s match-payment for his actions, to serve as a warning to any other wrestler who tries to commit foul play inside of the tournament in the future.

» The Thrillers also managed to find their way back out to ringside during the ‘Irresistible’ Iestyn Rees vs. ‘The Idol’ Ian Logan bout, apparently (as Joey Redman told some front row fans) “scouting for talent”. With results such as 2 losses out of 3, it looks like The Thrillers are looking to add more means to their ranks!

» And of course during the main event IPW:UK saw obvious tension building for both teams as neither BritRage or The Hated Heroes wanted to lose their main event tag bout to the other. This tension was handled well by BritRage but not so much by Messrs Simmonz and Summers who not only managed to bump into one another several times during the bout, shout at each other angrily for most of the second half of the match, but actually purposefully came to blows towards the end, with Summers leaving Simmonz alone to be double-teamed and be on the losing end of things for the second successive Buckland event!

Is this the first step to the implosion of the Hated Heroes? What will Simmonz do next, and what will LT Summers have to say for himself this Sunday at IPW:UK Brawl @ The Hall 2007?? And in all of this, where DOES Aviv Maayan stand?!
